Gatlinburg Babymoon

It’s trendy and I don’t care – we took a few days off to have a little babymoon together in Gatlinburg. Felipe had never even been to downtown Gatlinburg and I think it’s one of the coolest places to explore that is almost all do-able for a pregnant lady!
We seriously struggled between choosing a hotel downtown or a cabin and we ended up choosing a cabin – part of what we really wanted to do was just get away and relax, wake up with a cup of coffee and sit on our porch looking over the mountains. We also chose a cabin that was pet friendly so we could bring the babies!
I wanted to do a little something fun - as you all know I’m a planner and love surprises, so I got a little basket of fun things together and set it up in the house as we were unpacking to surprise Felipe. The cabin had an option to order “baskets” and with everything we had going on I was SO tempted to do that, but I really love personalized gifts that are practical (not to mention the ones for purchase were geared towards honeymoons not babymoons lol). I included a variety of things that we could actually use, like champagne and a nice wine bottle opener, a candle, and the cutest papa and baby bear shirts for baby and Felipe! I also bought new coats for the puppies because I wanted them to have surprises too LOL. The bear shirts were extra special because I was a bad planner and hadn’t picked them up in time for my crafty friend to print them, so she surprised me by picking up the shirts and doing it for me! And the best part is Felipe had a little surprise basket for me too so I’m thinking this is becoming our little vacation tradition <3.

Day 1
We had such a great time exploring Gatlinburg – It really is the coolest little town. On our first day we were super tourists, hitting all the Ripley’s attractions and little shops downtown and riding up the Space Needle.
Day 2
On our second day we did some much needed relaxing – we had coffee on the porch overlooking the mountains, swam in the resort pool, hung out in the hot tub (turned way down and didn’t stay in too long, don’t worry!), then caught a dinner show in Pigeon Forge. P.S. How cute are my stinking pups?!?
Day 3
We had so much fun – Felipe picked this Chicken themed breakfast place and it had singing chickens everywhere – I know this sounds cheesy, but I loved it so much! We had fun being silly at the Hollywood wax museum and went to the cutest little coffee shop called “Espresso Yourself” in the Old Mill district. After a nap, we hit downtown Gatlinburg for dinner and took another trip to the space needle and arcade where we spent tons of time and had a blast playing all the games. I love being a big kid with this cutie <3.
I was trying to pick a favorite thing and couldn’t – My favorite thing is just exploring a new place with this amazing dude I’m so lucky to have as my best friend. So glad we made this happen - we were tempted to just save the money and not go, but we had a great time and will have these memories forever! I'm sure things will change once the baby is here and I'm glad we got one last solo adventure before we're a team of three (Pups say correction - team of five).
