Hello, and welcome to plucky and poised, a fashion/minimalism/lifestyle blog documenting all sorts of adventures in life.

My name is Rachael, I’m a business analyst by day and LuLaRoe consultant by night, with a huge love for minimalism, organization, travel, fashion, and life! My husband Felipe and I live in a self-designed and built 304 sq. ft. tiny home with our precious two Coton de Tulear dogs.

I started this blog as a space to highlight some fashion and styling tips for LuLaRoe clothing, but it quickly grew into a place for me to share my lessons learned in minimalism, organization, packing tips, travel, financial management, and is constantly growing in focus. I work hard to live my life very intentionally and with a lot or mindfulness of what really matters and if any of the lessons I’ve learned can help other people I try to share that.

Why the name “Plucky and Poised”? I wanted this to be more than just fashion – to be about empowerment, confidence, loving yourself, happiness, and living an intentional life. That can be a lot of pressure to put on a name but when I stumbled across the words “plucky” – the official dictionary definition of which is “having or showing determined courage in the face of difficulties” and “poised” – “having a composed and self-assured manner” – I knew I had found my name. My goals are that anyone reading this is able to live a life where they can achieve happiness by defining what they want and making the choices to get them there. And of course, doing so with elegance and class. So pluckyandpoised was born <3.
