Minimalist Packing List

I seriously have organizational issues. I love everything being planned and organized and in its perfect little place, all t’s crossed and i’s dotted. So when someone like me plans a 3 week backpacking trip using a 30 liter backpack – lists happen. Multi-functional outfits happen. Exact plans happen. Because when you’re travelling with such a small amount of space and you have to carry your stuff, there’s no room for error!
I’ve traveled via backpack before and am learning from past mistakes. I’m limiting the extra stuff I’ll take, and the main improvement is I’m attempting to do some planning before I get there so that I know what jewelry, accessories, and outfits I really need to take. Once I have that down – I organize it by city so I’m not unpacking and repacking in each and every hostel I step foot in. Easy peasy, right?
Thanks to my handy pinterest board I have more than enough packing list inspiration. I took several, looked at our specific needs, and created my own! As far as outfits, I tried my best to mix and match from much loved things I already own – I bought one new tank top and a new pair of comfy sandals for the trip, but didn’t go overboard picking new stuff specifically for the trip. Partially owning a clothing boutique doesn’t hurt :p. My main expense was organizational stuff for the bags – a jewelry and cord organizer, a toiletries bag – and some other random accessories I thought would help make the trip easier (collapsible water bottles, an external cellphone battery, etc.).
So all that being said – here’s my cool little packing graphic which I made due to said organizational issues.

I’ll follow up with a post on how I actually pack the bag, which should be exciting stuff :p. Comment if you have any ideas on stuff I missed – I’d rather know now than later!
If you’re interested in some of my outfit combinations, check out the upcoming post! It has pretty pictures and stuff.
